More than 2,000 children in care are forced to live over 100 miles from where they were brought up, leaving them
since 2014 – with over 11,000 placed more than 20 miles from their home postcode. There were also almost a thousand children living more than 150 miles away from the area they call home when the research was carried out in March this year.
